Introducing the Phantom Two, an updated version of one of our most popular daily drivers and the newest member of the Ghost Family.
We've made a few refinements to the original design to improve what it already did well: speed, paddle power, stability and manoeuvrability. At the end of the process, we made one for JJF, and his feedback was simply, "This board is really fun, I really like it!"
The Phantom Two is a squashed-down, souped-up daily driver based on the Ghost rocker, with increased nose rocker through the last 12" for later, steeper take-offs. A deep single concave helps flatten out the rocker through the centre, creating lift, speed and flow without sacrificing overall performance or feel.
The added width through the nose and tail creates a fuller, more parallel outline that helps maintain speed through slower sections and tight turns. The hip squash tail allows for more pivotal surfing and tighter radius turns than the original Phantom.
The rails are soft and forgiving, medium/full with a gentle taper, adding flotation and speed while maintaining sensitivity underfoot.
Like our other models, volume carried through the chest area provides solid paddle power without adding too much overall thickness.
Best suited to waist-high through overhead waves, the Phantom Two is a great daily driver with a high-performance edge.

Jon still lives in Hawaii wiith his wife and 2 daughters, running the Pyzel Surfboards factory on the North Shore and traveling around the world to shape boards and test them in all sorts of conditions.
