The NOVA! born of the brainchild between Haydenshapes and team rider Dylan Graves to suit the increasingly broad variety of conditions presented to Dylan. Whether he's on a Weird Waves expedition or planning a pool party the NOVA was designed to have him covered.

Suited to all surfers from beginner to advanced, recommended to be ridden 2-4 inches shorter than your standard shortboard or ridden at your preferred target volume.

The NOVA was created to excel in all conditions from fast punchy beach breaks to smooth, clean wave faces and even the worlds manmade wave pools. It has enough surface area through the nose and tail to generate speed through flatter sections of wave coupled with a medium rocker which will give a responsive feel when surfed tight in the pocket in steeper conditions.

Suitable for wave faces from flat to overhead, the NOVA adapts effortlessly to beach breaks, reefs, points, and especially pools.

The construction combines a stringer-less, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame.

The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance vitality of the overall product. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twist, FutureFlex essentially stores and releases energy as the surfer transitions through a turn.
