'NECK BEARD 2' IN SPINE-TEK

 

 When something isn’t broke, there’s no need to fix it. That said, Britt Merrick and Dane Reynolds still felt a few slight refinements would make an already epic board that much better. And it did: The merits to this update can be seen in Dane’s new surf film “The Electric Acid Surfboard Test.”

A big fan of single concave, Dane asked Britt to turn the original Neckbeard’s double concave to single throughout. This changed the rocker landscape some, but in a very positive way—enhancing its wave entry, down-the-line speed, and overall control. They also widened the tail block 1/2” and added a slight hip, resulting in increased responsiveness and maneuverability.

The Yeti Wolf is a mythical creature that has been spotted over the years with the most recent sightings stemming around coastal communities form the USA to Australia and beyond. Originally a land dwelling creature, it has now taken to the water and been decimating coastlines around the world. It's low entry rocker allows the Yeti Wolf to reach great speeds with ease and the extreme tail flip is vital for quick directions changes when hunting prey. The soft boxy rails have a slightly 'turned up' finish that are very forgiving under your feet and incredibly responsive. A contemporary, modern shortboard built for everyday hunting.

'BLAK BOX 3' SWALLOW TAIL

 

 

Much loved by surfers around the world for the last eight years, we’ve set out to build a new board that does justice to the famous Blak Box DNA, which has always brought fun yet still exciting surfing to good, average and even terrible waves.
The success of our Monsta Box and Air 17X at the refined end of the X Series prompted JS to re-design our Blak Box to be even more suited to weak waves and surfers who don’t get their ideal choice of conditions day in, day out. It’s user-friendly, and it’s a must have to make the most of whatever window you have to get in the water each week.

Our new Blak Box 3 is all about easy acceleration and glide, so to achieve this we’ve given it a flatter rocker, more planning area and extra foam under the chest. To control and play with all that speed, the wide point has also been moved forward, which creates a slightly straighter, pulled-in swallowtail. This provides a smooth rock and roll from rail to rail, giving you extra drive and angles of attack to choose from anywhere on a wave. With slightly lower rails to complement its updated outline, we recommend riding the BB3 at 1/16” thicker than your last Blak Box.

CHILLI SURFBOARDS

Mitch Coleborn has spent many years on the WQS surfing in average conditions. James ( Chilli) and Mitch have created a new small wave performance short board. After countless discussions about heats ran in small conditions we slowly over time modified the Spawn and we developed the Volume 2. This board is fast and drivey it excels in 1-4 foot conditions The Volume 2 has been tried and tested all around the world in locations including Sydney, California, Indonesia, Hawaii and Japan.

FIREWIRE 'SEASIDE'

Just evolving the Go Fish to something new, really. The Go Fish goes fast and feels skatey and loose and I love it, and riding it for a couple years made me want to feel more high performance - more carves, tighter turns. So the Seaside is about refining… less area in the tail, narrowing the tips of the swallow, creating more curve and narrowing the nose. All elements for ripping while the Go Fish stays cruisey and fun.

First available model in Woolight is the Machado Seaside. Available in: Charcoal & Olive. In Collaboration with Rob Machado. Laminated with sustainably sheared wool from sheep in New Zealand, raised and shepherded on ZQ Certified Farms; Woolight is inspired by the natural environment and a mission to use naturally occurring fibers in surfboard production, with less toxicity than traditional materials.

CHRISTENSON 'FISH'

 

 

In 2015 I was asked to shape Kelly a board for the first time. I knew immediately what I wanted to make him.

Still probably the most versatile design of all surfboard craft. If you were stranded on an island for the next 10 years and were only allowed one board this would be my recommendation. Tested from Cardiff Reef to Ulu Watu, Waikiki to Pipe, this is a very trustworthy design. Double foil fins with low cant and toe complimented by the twin pin tail allow this board to reach high speeds and insure hold whenever on the rail.

DHD 'BLACK DIAMOND'
SWALLOW TAIL

 

 

The Black Diamond is our favourite all-rounder that can do a bit of everything.

Packed with extra flotation for easy paddling and entries but still loaded with all the performance needed when the waves turn on. 

Designed with a pulled in tail to assist keeping you in the pocket and draw out turns. The widest point is more forward, increasing volume in the nose area and dropping the entry rocker slightly, the Black Diamond paddles extremely well and is fast off the front foot.

DHD 'DX1 PHASE 3'

 

 

The PHASE 3 has been a year in the works and is back to being a top favourite amongst the DHD team.

This model has a little extra width through the nose and tail which has added a touch more volume through the chest.

To keep the boards performance DH has kept the rails low especially through the tail of the board. This along with a fairly straight rail outline give the board endless speed and drive.

A slightly lowered rocker gives this board plenty of up and go speed, this has allowed DH to tone down it’s single concave which helps free the board up through turns, especially when the waves are a little softer.

Whether you’re grinding it out on the QS or looking for an everyday shortboard to take you to the next level, you’ll find space in the quiver for a DX1 PHASE 3.

PYZEL 'SHADOW' PROJECT 12

 

 

Project 12 series is limited edition series of boards that are based off what 2x World Champion John John Florence was riding at the start of the 2019 WSL season.

These include the Shadow 6’0 (Gold Coast semi final file). All boards have the JJF contest board logo placements (PYZEL Logo upside down) and Coloured pin strip rail spray’s (Shadow = Black, Ghost = Red) The Shadows have Team Glassing 5oz S-Cloth deck and 4oz Bottom.
