Firewire Taylor Jensen Hull Rider Helium Longboard

Trim, glide, and style. Introducing the TJ Hull Rider in Helium Technology, designed by Dan Mann  with the 4x World Longboard Champion, Taylor Jensen. Offering speed, flow, and effortless trim, this shape is an all-around longboard featuring a rounded pintail and slightly fuller nose outline with a hull bottom. Built to be ridden as either a Two Plus One or Single fin, this shape's easy to ride, easy to paddle, and super fun.

Built in our proprietary Helium Longboard Technology, an iteration of our best-selling constructions designed specifically for longboards, featuring a Variable Flex I-Beam Stringer with a Paulownia Wood Nose Cap.

For Wave Type, this shape excels in all conditions shoulder-high and under, the flatter the face, the faster this board goes. Think classic longboard waves – softer, more flowy lines – like San Onofre, high tide California beach breaks, and point breaks. This shape will work well in anything from ankle-high to the shoulder-high range.

For Board Features, this shape's hull bottom is what makes it unique, it's got a sort of belly to the bottom that helps the board turn over rail-to-rail super easily. Hull bottoms are the opposite of concave bottoms, instead of a concave where the arch of the board reaches up into the centerline, it's a convex bottom where the centerline reaches down into the water. This creates a truly unique feeling of connection to the water that can only be achieved with a hull. The TJ Hull Rider has a hull bottom in moderation, meaning you get the feeling of connectivity in the wave face with an ease-of-use not common historically in hulls. Dan Mann designed this shape with a rounded pintail and a slightly fuller nose outline, giving you more stability while cross-stepping or trimming. It's also got a tear drove concave cutout of the hull bottom, decreasing weight in the nose increasing manoeuvrability, while also getting some airflow under the nose to help get lift during nose rides. And the shape's flatter entry rocker makes wave catching a breeze, with some gentle rocker in the tail for manoeuvrability. In this shape, it's beneficial to have the extra volume because you're not losing any performance.

About Helium Construction:

This is your ideal technology choice for generating speed in weak, everyday waves.
Helium technology is a stringerless 1.0 lb EPS foam core with flex controlled with rails made from Paulownia and Balsa wood, running the complete length from nose to tail, combined with a 3mm proprietary aerospace composite deck skin.
The wood rails enable a lively flex in the rail that gives a loaded-up, spring-back feeling, and the deck skins make your board feel this way for a long time.
Helium deck skins are beneficial for both durability and performance - and have a memory that will rebound back to form after being compressed, making it very responsive in addition to keeping your deck surface pristine for many years.
