Surfing World Mag ‘Scary Good' Film Premier & Tour w/ bands Wash and The Cloacas, Thursday 19/10/17 Cambridge Hotel - 789 Hunter St, Newcastle
Scary Good is not a surf movie. It’s a sound, a vision and a freak miracle of mateship.
A film by Surfing World Magazine.
Prepare to feast your eyes and ears with the most culturally inspired surfers making eternal noise, featuring todays surf rock legends; Creed Mactaggart, Ellis Ericson, Beau Foster, Wade Goodall, Matt Hoy, Ozzie Wright, Dane Reynolds and so many other icons. The end result being an electric plethora of energy… mostly driven by the endless surfing, jamming, beers and laughter amongst the crew.
Surfing World will be touring the film, Scary Good, produced by Vaughan Blakey (Doped Youth) and Danny Johnson (Yeah Dude) on the East Coast with live performances from both bands: Wash and The Cloacas.
The soundtrack will being released on the 10th October and the films international debut hitting the screen on the 12th October in California. Scary Good then returns to its roots to begin the Aussie Tour: Sydney, followed by Newcastle, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Byron then finally hitting Torquay.
“There are a bunch of kids out there who surf insanely good and also play in bands. We setup a studio in a remote location for 10 days to film, record and surf our brains out. The potential for failure? Immense. The chances of having a hell time? Absolute.” – Vaughan Blakey.
