2020 Sanbah Cadet Cup Surfing Competition
The 2020 Sanbah Surf Cadet Cup run on the beautiful South Bar Beach, Newcastle on Saturday 22nd and Sunday the 23rd February 2020. The Cadet Cup is a great opportunity for young, emerging male and female surfers to gain invaluable contest experience.
The Sanbah Cadet Boys and Girls comprises of three (3) divisions – Boys 16 years and under; Boys 14 years and under; Girls 16 years and under.
The unique contest format allows for each competitor to surf two rounds accumulating points before the top surfers from the Boy division’s progress through to the quarterfinals and semi finals. The Girls will contest two rounds and then progress to semi finals. This contest format will ensure competitors get maximum contest experience from the event.
Rhys Smith of Sanbah Surf said, “We are very proud to present the Sanbah Cadet Cup again in 2020. We see the event as a launching pad for our young male and female surfers. We expect them to gain competitive experience in the very unique Cadet Cup format where every surfer gets to surf two rounds before the knockout rounds start. This not only enhances their competitive opportunities it also create a more entertaining event for spectators.
